A neat opportunity today…I spoke with Greg Grunberg, actor and wonderful Epilepsy Advocate, and Dr. Brien Smith, MD of Henry Ford Hospital. The opportunity was provided by Epilepsy Adovcate.
I know Dr. Smith from Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan functions, so this was a great chance for me to catch up with him!
We talked about Advocacy, what’s on the horizon in terms of treatments (Dr. Smith speaks about DBS)…and how we can all remain positive about Epilepsy and what’s in the future.
Enjoy!

Awesome! I just loved this! Now this is what I’m talking about. How in the world can we get this kind of stuff on T.V. for the rest of people to see?…rather than just the internet? I think everyone who has Epilepsy and is capable of doing something to lend a hand, or has someone who can, should. Since I have E, have daily seizures, can’t hold a job or drive a car, I do oil painting when my day’s are good. Most of my work is dedicated to those who have E, and in getting the word out there. I’m the artist with E!!! And of course my favorite artist is Van Gogh! Bet you can guess why. There is high thought that he had Epilepsy, but I think I’ll keep my ear! haha! Anyhow, I’ve already donated a couple paintings to the yearly E calender contest, and got one published on the magazine Epilepsy and Behavior. You can find it on the front of Volume 12/4 May (2008). I would love to donate a painting to the E community. I just don’t know where to send it, or who to send it too. Do you know of any body who could help….or if you think it would?
