Most of you who know me…or at least have come to know me during these last few months know that when international events like the horror that is occurring in Haiti right now go down, I am glued to the tube — and the web. Perhaps it’s the ex-journalist in me?? Or, maybe because I can’t drive and I’m a complete homebody?? Either way, this seems to have rubbed off on Hayden. And suffice to say my husband was at a business dinner last night so she and I spent hours watching the MSNBC coverage of the disaster. She even went so far as to pack a relief bag for some of the children she saw, suffering in the streets. I’m pretty certain they really could have used princess sippy cups and baby-doll clothes, but that’s another story.

I know…nothing to do with Epilepsy, but this has everything to do with humanity, and with what will likely be millions affected by the disaster, I felt compelled to write. There are many, many ways to help. I did. This is just one link to a list of charitable organizations helping in the relief efforts: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34835478/. As my parents would say…do what you can. Hayden surely did.
